What caught our attention, yesterday at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, was a familiar song. We had to listen for a short while, and then we knew that she was playing a Cake song called “End of the Movie“. Very nicely done. We shouted “Cake” and she gave us thumbs up. A couple of days ago, after one of my kids asked for rogue, for his macbook, I told my kids that I had had a Linguistics class at Berkeley, with Ken Arnold, an author of rogue and curses. They have played rogue before, but at this recent mention of it, they all wanted to play rogue again, and again, and again. Now that we have replaced all but one of our PCs with Macs, we couldn’t find a mac binary, so they are playing a java version. For reference, we are using The Dungeons of Doom (e.g. Magical Items).

Been There: Finger Eleven @ The Boardwalk

We saw Finger Eleven @ The Boardwalk on September 8, 2007. I took a few photos with my Palm Zire 71 PDA and with my cell phone.
The Boardwalk is a local bar that has a capacity of about 200 people. We love seeing great bands in small venues.
