keyword.URL in about:config – e.g. change from Yahoo to Google

Posted by erich13 on March 26, 2008

A solution to changing where searches typed into the address bar go. If you open the about:config page and pull up the entry name keyword.URL, it can be modified to change the search behavior of the address bar. In Flock, by default, it is set to search.yahoo.com, but it can be changed, say to http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=, and now all your searches go through google.
